Smoked Mullet Chowder

Ingrediants:

  • Enough smoked mullet for 4-6 people.
  • 300ml milk.
  • 185 ml fresh cream.
  • 2 tablespoons butter.
  • Cornflour.
  • 2 hardboiled eggs, chopped.
  • Salt and freshly-ground pepper.

Directions:

  • Break the mullet into small pieces removing all bones and skin.
  • Place mullet pieces into a baking dish.
  • In a small saucepan warm and mix the butter, milk and cream.
  • Thicken sauce with a little cornflour if necessary.
  • Add a good amount of freshly-ground pepper.
  • Pour the mixture over the smoked mullet.
  • Cover and bake for about 25 minutes.
