Features:From the riverbed, follow the orange markers. There are several river crossings. The Sawcut Gorge is spectacular with a stream flowing through the 150m-deep chasm. Plants vary from beech forest to tussock grassland. The rocks are mainly limestone with grey wedges of argillite, sandstone and mudstone. Several pools by the creek smell of sulphur.
