Cheesy Bluenose Casserole Recipe

  • 4 bluenose steaks or pieces
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 150 grams Edam cheese, grated
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 small capsicum (any colour), sliced and diced
  • Ground rock salt and pepper.
  • Mix the onion and half the grated cheese.
  • Place in bottom of casserole dish.
  • Lay fish on top.
  • Combine Worcestershire sauce, milk, mustard and milk.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour over fish.
  • Spread remaining cheese over fish.
  • Cover with layers of potato slices.
  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Cook uncovered on fan bake for 30 minutes.
  • Or microwave for 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
