Rick Pollock moved to Whakatane from his native Southern California in 1978. In his first six years of operating boats from this coastal port he split his operational mode between sport fishing during the summer and autumn months, commercial fishing over winter and spring. Such is the demand now days Rick is chartering all year round and is recognised as one of New Zealand's top skippers, with an incredible knowledge of recreational fishing and a determination to provide the ultimate experience for all his clients. This is why he has one of the most successful charter boat businesses in the country, if not the most successful.
